ABOUT OUR RODS
Rod Action Information
RRR provides many choices in the action of our rods. These extend from a slow action which has a progressive deflection from tip to butt, a moderate action which will deflect in the upper half of the rod, and a fast action which deflects in the upper third of the rod, and finally, an extra fast action which deflect in the upper fourth of the rod. Deflection refers to the “bend” of the rod.
Power
Our rods are rated for power by using industry parameters. This applies to the line class according to the applications. For example, in spinning and casting rods the rating of 0-6 would let the angler known which line is recommended for which rod.
Fly Rod Weights
All of RRR fly rods are rated for use with weight forward fly lines, but they will accept double taper lines as well. Each rod is designed to cast a specific line weight, but individual preferences or fishing applications may have you choosing a deferent line weight.
